Working with an evening STEAM night event at an elementary school, CSSM members shared their excitement and experience with separations with over 100 children on Monday, March 28, 2022. The children made use of a simplified version of our outreach kits and had the children make chromatography flowers to welcome in the Spring! The children learned about how chemical and physical properties could be used to separate materials from one another. Special thanks to Maxwell Furigay from the Schelter group and Jennifer DeRosa from the Subotnik group for making this event a success!
