On May 3, Dr Thea Riofrancos, assistant professor of political science at Providence College and an Andrew Carnegie Fellow, presented a talk highlighting the relationship between metals extraction, territoriality and challenges to the social and political landscape.  She offered a look into how opportunities in green technology fit into the geopolitical spectrum and the effects of new processes on economic factors.
